So, I think I have this thing sort of like I want it and hopefully I'll be more consistent with my postings now that I seem to have a little more time on my hands.
Friday we drove to Branson for the Don Williams concert which was Sat night. We checked into our hotel room - then scouted out the theatre for the concert. Went to the Candelight Inn (across the river from Branson Landing) Friday night. All I can say is WONDERFUL. Great view - Great food - Great service -- very romantic.
Got up Sat morning and drove to Springfield to shop for a new christmas tree and all new decorations. We got the tree and quite a few baubles for it. That tree may have to go up waaay before Christmas! (On Friday, we went to one of the christmas village type shops in Branson to just look at the decorated trees to get an idea of the color scheme we wanted to go with.) This is our first "married" christmas and we wanted to start with something that was just us and a tree that we can add too for many years to come.
As usual, Don was just the best. Those of you who really know me know that I've been a major fan since the 70's and will go to any length to see him!
